I've been meaning to blog more, so in an effort to do so, I am challenging myself to do one post per week. I considered just doing a weekly wrap, but decided instead to elaborate on the words from my blog header. These words represent values that inspire me when I see them in others, and that I strive for myself.

Biggie in My Blog, on My Mind, and in My Heart

I realized recently that I've been avoiding blogging, because I don't want the RIP Biggie post to get pushed down. :( He was such a cool kitty, and I really miss him. This is one of my favorite photos, look how close in size Phoebe & Biggie are. :)

My intention is for this post to break posting aversion. No matter where he is on my blog, Mr. Bigs is at the front of my mine, and in the depths of my heart.

Blogger Pains

My blog is being a pain in the butt. It won't keep me logged in, and it keeps putting triple hard returns between all my bullets. Grrr. :/ But I assume you have gotten into this year's photos?? :) Also, just wondering, do you notice when I tinker w/my title? I added a heart recently, that was probably pretty obvious. But every once in a while I come up with another value to add to my inspirations. Plus it was bugging me that the first few were not in alphabetical order with no explanation. :)

Photos

Been tinkering with Shutterfly & Swingvine trying to get my photos uploaded, and have been reminded why I opted for Picasa in the first place. So, I set myself up another Google/Picasa account, and will not be using those other sites. Should all be seamless to you: my links to the left should work.

The Return of "My Little Contribution . . ."

I often waffle between wanting to share my blog and wanting to keep it private, so I think I've finally come to a "system" of sorts: facebook for the world, My Little Contribution for those who are more interested, and a new totally private blog for my 'Dear Diary' type stuff. So, I moved my most private posts to the other blog, and I'm opening this one back up, no invite required, so that My Little Contribution can be what I intended: my little contribution to the internets. :) I don't like that there are now months with no entries, but oh well, I needed those months to myself.

Irony

I've been tinkering w/my blog (obviously) and set it to show only the last two posts. Every time the page has loaded since my last post, the irony strikes me of "a raise" followed immediately thereafter by a "shape up" notice. Hm. I am already realizing the benefits of why I needed to get my schedule and focus together - it feels way better to have full productive days than short distracted days.



I've also been tinkering w/Phoebe's blog, which is what led me to tinker w/rss feeds, which is what led to the extensive tinkering of both my smfuller and mypsgs blogs. Neat. Distracting. Not nearly as distracting though as facebook still is! My friends list is mostly MDIHS'ers, many of whom are still on the Island, or elsewhere in Maine. Their status notes make me miss home. Well, not all that rain, good lord.



I'm the unofficial code social coordinator - we end up having a pot luck lunch about once every two months - today we're having Taco's. I'm off to find some sort of teambuilding/icebreaker activity or game or something. :)

The Blog Kick-Off Post

Okay... first post... blog officially established! Now there's no excuse for personal clutter on my new forum site. Hopefully one little blog link in my sig will satisfy my maternal instinct to make people look at pictures of my lovely daughter. I used to roll my eyes in embarrassment when my own mother did the same thing, but now I understand. Maybe it's genetic? No? Oh well, at least I know I'll have an audience of at least ONE for my blog! Thanks Mom. :)



So, my new site... MDIHS.org! I'm a sentimental fool, my 20yr HS reunion will be in 2008, and I wanted a place for us to plan it together. But I got such a cool domain name, I didn't want to hog it for just my class, nor just for alumni, so I'm trying to push it as a one-stop hangout for all things MDIHS past and present. It's only been like three days and I'm already wishing I had more users. We shall see.
